Argentinean born Sergio Javier Rodriguez, 32, moved to Toronto at the age of 9. His love for all things creative led him to pursue a career in hairstyling at the age of 18. He graduated from the marvel institute in 1996. During this time, he competed in ABA and Contessa hair shows creating avant garde hairstyling. Sergio’s unique cutting methods were honed while working for various well-known salons in Toronto, as well as film and television sets, various fashion shoots, and runway events. Sergio garnered a range of different cutting techniques from each environment, allowing him to develop a wide skill set. His unique skill is the evolved work of his education and his multi-disciplined background in music, photography and fine arts. Sergio specializes in classic Vidal Sassoon shapes with strong lines and head carving, which resembles the art of tattoo.
