parlour is a unique salon environment. We believe it’s imperative to embrace the community our salons are in, to champion all eco-friendly opportunities, and ensure our salons are a safe, creative and supportive environment where both stylists and clients enjoy and relish their hair journey.
A Safe Space For All.
Owned and operated by a member of the LGBTQ+ community, parlour is a safe space for stylists to be themselves and freely create an exceptional atmosphere and hair journey for our extended family of clients.
Eco-Friendly Salon.
parlour was one of the first salons in the city to participate in ‘Matter of Trust’, an eco-enthusiast organization for renewable resources where our hair recycling program uses hair’s innate quality to remove oil to help clean up global oil spills. Since then, parlour has become a proud member of the Green Circle Salons where up to 95% of our waste gets recycled or repurposed. parlour continues to champion eco-friendly solutions.
Our Journey.
Established in March of 2009’s Great Recession. parlour salon started its humble beginning with four of the best stylists in Toronto in a prime location at the bottom of the popular Ossington strip extending the Queen West vibe. parlour was embraced by the community with record growth and received requests to consider new locations.
In 2014, parlour expanded its reach on Queen Street to Toronto’s East End where we were fortunate to join the Beach(es) community. Both stylists and clients alike were enthusiastic about our new home.
The perfect trifecta was found in 2019 when parlour added the Uptown community to our family. Just north of the famed Yonge & Eglinton we were met with exuberant support which we continue to enjoy.
2022 brought an unexpected opportunity after one of our most talented stylists moved back home to London during the 2020 pandemic. Jay Leger, brought the idea of expanding the parlour family to her hometown to the owners and we were delighted to partner with Jay and support the community of London.
